My last post was mid May and alot has happened since then! Especially in my garden!
Since May we have:
gone camping twice
went to my family reunion
went to my cabin twice
went to Lake Powell for a week
went to 8 wedding receptions
went to Hawaii for 10 days
and went to Idaho for Labor Day!
I have kind of missed alot of church........
I would have to say that the funnest, out of this list, was going to Idaho for 2 days over Labor day.
My Dad has a really good friend up in Idaho who has a Ranch. This Ranch sits on a MOUNTAIN RANGE which he owns. We spend our nights in this little "A" framed cabin sleeping in the same room as everyone else because there is only one room with 8 beds and a couch all cramed together! What a blast! The really nice thing about it is there is no cellular service anywhere on their privately owned mountain range, which means I can forget about the world and spend time with my husband, friends, and family while sucking up some fresh air!
We left straight from work on Friday to get there in time for the huge BBQ with all the town friends! Of course my Dad was the entertainment (singer) and me and my sisters and friends danced the night away in our cowboy boots, on the grass! I accidentally pantsed myself, and I won't go into detail! Lets just say I probably burned more calories than running a half marathon.
I slept well that night. Saturday was a chill, relaxing day. We went for a Rhino ride and I spotted the first deer. Eveyone in the Rhino owes me a shake! My cute toot sister, Aubrey, is doing the bow hunt, so of course she is in the back of the Rhino with her arrow ready! Sunday morning we went out hunting again in the Rhino and I spotted the first deer again! I think I have an eye for deer! We drove up on this ridge (8,000 feet) and I ended up spotting a deer from 1,150 yards. For those of you who don't know, that's 3,450 feet! I don't eat that many carrots. I think I get my eyes from my Dad. Thanks Dad. I could probably be a sniper in the freakin Army!
Anyway, enough bragging cause it's nothing great to brag about. We had a good time enjoying the quiet ranch, and you better believe we will be back next year for the Annual Labor Day BBQ @ Robinson Ranch!
P.S. Thanks Rick for letting us stay yet another year at the cabin. And also, thankyou for reheating that peach cobbler and not making me eat the WHOLE thing! Love ya
We are doing it.
