It's been awhile!

My last post was mid May and alot has happened since then! Especially in my garden!
Since May we have:

gone camping twice
went to my family reunion
went to my cabin twice
went to Lake Powell for a week
went to 8 wedding receptions
went to Hawaii for 10 days
and went to Idaho for Labor Day!

I have kind of missed alot of church........
I would have to say that the funnest, out of this list, was going to Idaho for 2 days over Labor day.

My Dad has a really good friend up in Idaho who has a Ranch. This Ranch sits on a MOUNTAIN RANGE which he owns. We spend our nights in this little "A" framed cabin sleeping in the same room as everyone else because there is only one room with 8 beds and a couch all cramed together! What a blast! The really nice thing about it is there is no cellular service anywhere on their privately owned mountain range, which means I can forget about the world and spend time with my husband, friends, and family while sucking up some fresh air!
We left straight from work on Friday to get there in time for the huge BBQ with all the town friends! Of course my Dad was the entertainment (singer) and me and my sisters and friends danced the night away in our cowboy boots, on the grass! I accidentally pantsed myself, and I won't go into detail! Lets just say I probably burned more calories than running a half marathon.
I slept well that night. Saturday was a chill, relaxing day. We went for a Rhino ride and I spotted the first deer. Eveyone in the Rhino owes me a shake! My cute toot sister, Aubrey, is doing the bow hunt, so of course she is in the back of the Rhino with her arrow ready! Sunday morning we went out hunting again in the Rhino and I spotted the first deer again! I think I have an eye for deer! We drove up on this ridge (8,000 feet) and I ended up spotting a deer from 1,150 yards. For those of you who don't know, that's 3,450 feet! I don't eat that many carrots. I think I get my eyes from my Dad. Thanks Dad. I could probably be a sniper in the freakin Army!
Anyway, enough bragging cause it's nothing great to brag about. We had a good time enjoying the quiet ranch, and you better believe we will be back next year for the Annual Labor Day BBQ @ Robinson Ranch!

P.S. Thanks Rick for letting us stay yet another year at the cabin. And also, thankyou for reheating that peach cobbler and not making me eat the WHOLE thing! Love ya

My garden!

Two weeks ago, tonight, Me and the two kids I was babysitting, planted our garden. We planted the vegetables and fruits in biodegradable cups so that after they sprout high enough, we can just put them in the ground. IT IS AMAZING HOW MUCH THEY GROW IN JUST TWO WEEKS! They started sprouting within 5 days. I never knew gardening would be so cool and fun for me.

Here is my list of what I am planting:

1. Watermelon
2. Cantalope
3. Strawberries
4. Peas
5. Beans
6. Carrots
7. Beets
8. Broccli
9. Cauliflower
10. Radish
11. Cabbage
12. 2 kinds of Lettuce
13. Green onions
14. Yellow Onions
15. Cucumbers
16. Red peppers
17. Green peppers
18. Jalapeno peppers
19. Squash
20. Parsley
21. Sun sugar tomatoes (little orange cherry tomatoes)
22. Red cherry tomatoes
23. Large red tomatoes
24. Pumpkins
25. Corn
26. Chives
27. Basil
28. Dill

I am making sure I include my garden in my prayers because this is my first ever garden and experience growing anything. I am so excited! I also have 8 hanging baskets that I just planted all sorts of flowers in! Nothing has sprouted from those yet.
I am going to start my secound set of vegetables here in the next few weeks so that there will be two sets of same vegetables that will be ready in different months. I hope everything works out well. And if it does you better be ready for some home grown Fruits and Vegetables!

We Have Good News!

Nope....... I'm not Prego!

Bert won a Hawaiian Cruise for two at work on Wednesday!
We are so excited!
I really feel like Bert definantly deserved and worked hard for this!
It is sponsored by HBO and they are flying us in the day before and putting us in a hotel room for one night. Then we will get on the cruise the next morning for 8 days and 7 nights! Stopping at 3 different Islands. We will spend about 3 days at each Island.

10 Reasons why we are STOKED!

1. We really wanted to go on a vacation this year!
2. Free food - we don't have to pay for food unless we eat off the cruise ship!
3. We will still be in the U.S.
4. English speaking!
5. Our cabin has a balcony
6. Gives me more motivation to diet!
7. It's over our wedding Anniversary
8. Sand, warm weather and water!
9. We will be able to spend more than 6 hrs. on each Island.
(when we went on our cruise to Cabo we hardly got much time on land)
10. IT'S HAWAII

We are sure blessed!

Easter and my Savior

It was nice to have Bert home with me all weekend. Normaly he would have been working this Saturday, but he was able to trade someone at work Saturday for Friday. I didn't hear or watch all of conference but what I did hear, I liked. I Feel that most of conference was pertaining to me trying to build my relationship with Jesus Christ. I , just in the past few year, have been building my relationship with Heavenly Father but I have never really focused on Jesus and his Atonement or sacrifice. I feel this is something so special and important. I some what understand the sacrifice and the main stories that I hear about Christ, but I haven't quite felt them. I will be praying for that.
